Thing One and Thing Two

Thing One and Thing Two both seem to enjoy the laundry basket.

You will notice that the laundry basket is a recurring theme in this blog. It is meant to represent the vain attempt by adults to force these children to stay clean, orderly, and cootie-free.

Ultimately though, Thing One and Thing Two tend to move towards maximum entropy...laundry basket or not.

Still, they are beginning to work together as a team, which seems promising.

That is, of course, unless they continue their cooperative movement and work to overthrow their parents. We hope that stage does not come for another decade at least.

In the meantime, they are starting to just have fun together. And they are learning to share.

Calvin's looks are starting to change.

He's nearly able to fit his entire fist in his mouth.

And his eyes are bigger than ever.

Aivy is up to her old tricks.

And she's learning a few new ones. This week she begins her junior magician apprenticeship.

We're practicing the head-floating-on-a-box trick.

We are so very glad to be blessed with two healthy kids who already seem to enjoy playing around together.

We're sure that they will end up wrestling and play-fighting as all young animals do, but we just hope they don't end up hurting each other.
