The Dynamic Duo

This weekend, Aivy and Calvin's parents slipped away for their first real date since Aivy was born. And even though it was just to watch a matinee movie, it was wonderful. We saw that new Batman movie and left our own dynamic duo with a sitter.

And I made quite a bit of progress on the playhouse/garden shed. It's looking pretty good, I must say.

Most of the lines are plumb, too. It might just hold up.

And now, back to our show.

Now that Calvin has reached the three-month milestone, his personality is really starting to emerge.

Aivy has already taken on some of the responsibilities of an older sister.

...like conspiring to stage a coup against their parents. On Sunday night, they nearly succeeded.

They are getting along remarkably well for siblings. Of course, sometimes Aivy pats and plays with him a bit too roughly, but they really do get along well.

They are both members of the Neighborhood Feline Admiration Society.

But mostly, they just seem to like hanging out with each other.

Let's hope it lasts.
