Sidekicks

So now Aivy has shoes just like Daddy's.

And she's doing quite well in her apprenticeship program.

At this rate, she'll be twice the carpenter (and twice the boilermaker) her Dad ever was.

Working outside with Dad = Quality Time.

But life isn't all drudgery and manual labor. Aivy and her fellow sidekick Monica like to exercise their creativity, too.

Monica was a bit better behaved and focused upon her artwork.

Having older friends will help Aivy to learn good behaviors...we hope.

Aivy and Monica seemed to really have a great time together despite the age difference. Monica is three and Aivy is nineteen months old.

Monica plays the role of sidekick to her dad, Moses, while Aivy is my sidekick.

Aivy mimicks all my behaviors lately, for better or worse. It's pretty funny most of the time.

And just so you don't think we are forgetting about the newest sidekick, here is Calvin in all his glory. He laughs alot nowadays. Now if only I can teach him how to laugh at his Dad's jokes...

I need to hire Aivy to do a little work round the house while her rate is still one fruitcup an hour

Thanks for the great hospitality, Doug and Linh! We had a great time and it was the perfect "welcome back" that we needed! We'll be back soon!
