Little Miss Aivy was born at 2:56 pm, at Seton Medical Hospital in Austin, Texas. She was 6 pounds, 10 ounces, and 18.5 inches long. She’s a keeper!

Still too sleepy to write much.
Linh had to undergo an emergency c-section and we both kinda spent most of the day in a daze…a joyful, wonderous daze that was charged with adrenalin, love, and anticipation of our new roles as parents. And proud parents of a beautiful baby girl named Aivy.

Okay. I finally get a break. That is to say, this is the first time in three days that I’ve really had any time to myself to reflect on the tumultuous events of the past few days. I’ve been told to savor these moments since they are precious and few. Suffice it to say, I’m elated at the sight of our daughter. And I’m amazed at the strength of my wife. I’m truly blessed to have two such incredible women in my life.
Aivy is doing great right now and is in the nursery where she is lined up along with about 6 other babies to get bloodwork done. All the other mamas and papas are asleep but I’m wide awake at 5 am. Aivy looks very content and is sleeping wonderfully. Linh fed her at about 1 am and Aivy was being very rambunctious and, according to our nurse, would not fall back asleep after being breastfed. She is growing very attached to mama, and I think they both are enjoying that new relationship (the understatement of the year, by the way!).
