Easter with the Grandparents Whitworth

Here's Grandma, Calvin, Grandpa, and Aivy all enjoying their post-Easter egg hunt rewards.

Grandpa Whitworth first had to explain the rules of the hunt to the kiddos.

"Calvin, there will be no eye-gouging, kicking, scratching, or screaming during the hunt..."

"...no pulling of hair nor any punching below the waist."

"And Aivy, there will be absolutely no rabbit punches. Especially on Easter."

The kiddos also enjoyed an outing with their grandparents that allowed them to experience carousel horses moving to the sounds of the theme to "Bonanza." I think my dad may have enjoyed that more than the kids.

And we also celebrated Calvin's first birthday party a few days early.

His actual birthday is not until Thursday, but we decided to take advantage of his grandparents' visit by celebrating it a bit early.

I like Calvin's shirt.

I'm thinking about nicknaming him "Spike."

Calvin's pretty good about sharing.

And so is Aivy, on special occasions.

Here the are ganging up on Grandpa.

And now we are back to Easter morn'.

The hunt is on!

Calvin was a bit too young to really enjoy it, but Aivy had a ball. Just one look at the espression on her face and you can tell she loved it.

Happy Easter!
