Aivy celebrated her second birthday this weekend with all her friends. It was a great party.

Calvin was jumping for joy.

And/or flying around the house with his A Cung.

Akello was laying down some tunes on the Kitty Cat Keyboard. Calvin provided backing vocals.

Aivy's newest friend Emily paid a visit.

She liked hanging out with Aivy and Calvin's A Pho and A Cung.

Aivy has known Charlotte since she was born.

And, of course, let us not forget Miss Monica.

Monica and Aivy are always running around having fun together.

Akello sometimes likes to pose for a Hallmark moment.

Miss Hardin liked swinging from the neighbors' playset,

while Lorenzo was the king of the slide.

I like to roughhouse with Lorenzo because he's built like a little tank. A little, Indo-Italian tank.

Monica sometimes needed some roughhousing as well.

Allister and Aiden were just fine on their own.

Everyone liked checking out the playhouse during its big debut event.

Allister and Mihir gave it a passing grade.

Emily liked it too.

We all liked watching Mihir clowning around in the playhouse.

Our neighbor Terra introduced her dog, Kiwi, to the kiddos. (and if you count Kiwi as Australian then I think we had every continent represented at the party except Antactica--it was like a little U.N. party only a whole lot sillier)

Aivy liked playing catch with Monica

...but the real drama came when it came time for Aivy to blow out her candles.

One, two, BLOW!

She did it! Aivy gets her wish. Which at this point in the party, was probably a wish for a long nap.

I don't know why but I really like this shot.
It's like she's breaking down the fourth wall and speaking directly to her audience.

Opening presents was kinda tough

...but she had plenty of help from her friend Galina.

And last but certainly not least, Calvin got to meet Quinn.

By the end of the party, Aivy was pretty wiped out, but she still wanted to play with Monica.

Then they made pancakes for everyone and sold them for tidy little profit.
The End.
