Aivy was eager to show off the new jewelry that her aunt and uncle got for her during Pride Week in Houston.

She had a date with her Indo-Italian boyfriend Lorenzo at the Farmer's market on Wednesday.

But not before achieving near-mastery of the use of her spoon.

Even if the spoon doesn't carry all the food to her goofy face, she has been know to cut out the middleman and go straight from table to mouth.

Here she is with her necklace. Again, notice the unmistakable penguin-like build.

In Houston, she had a great time at the playground with her Uncle Ryan.

We "trapped" her in this plastic ring thing. She loved it.

And for some reason, she really wanted to go
up the slide as well as down it.

But we still think that the swings are her favorite piece of playground equipment.

She really enjoyed playing with Ryan and Kristi's prize-winning Weimariner, Remy.

Of course, she loved all the attention that she got at Ryan and Kristi's place in the Heights of Houston. Hardwood floors, a cool doggie, and all the raisins she could eat.

The real reason we went to Houston was not just to entertain Aivy-- we went to celebrate Ryan and Kristi's upcoming wedding that we will have to miss because it coincides with Calvin's due date. The dinner was fantastic and included both the Whitworth and Walker families.

My dad loved horsing around with Aivy...

while Kristi introduced Aivy to Corona.

Aivy thoroughly enjoyed playing outside on the porch.

I think she was laughing at one of her own jokes.

Or maybe she was just trying to distract us before making a speedy getaway after destroying something. After all, she's still Aivy the Destroyer. Even when she's Aivy the Clown.
