Learning New Tricks

So we decided that we wanted to take a picture of our modern nuclear family posed as on the couch much like "The Simpsons." But we couldn't figure out how to perch on the couch since every episode the Simpsons seem to be doing something different. So Aivy is crying, Linh is laughing, and I'm trying to feign indifference. The whole tableau is pretty funny to me.

And this is just a great photo of Aivy. She looks so precious...but we apologize for our low-brow taste in baby clothes.

Normally, we just see Aivy after she's drooling, but here's a photo of Aivy caught in flagrante.

Aivy likes to chill out and watch the fish sometimes. This week, Aivy learned how to roll over. And she really prefers sitting upright to any other position. She also is able to recognize individual voices. These are all important milestones, but the weirdest one is her increased vocalization-- she now makes noises like a cartoon pterodactyl.
I'm completely serious.

Here's a great one of Aivy and Linh. I think that Linh was trying to pick her own nose with Aivy's toes, if I'm not mistaken.

And we hope that Aivy learns how to smile from her Aunt Amy-- she's got the Julia Roberts smile down pat!

Uncle Sparky is posing like that famous photo of a dad holding a baby. Adorable.
