Little Sack of Sugar

That’s sugar, not sh*t, although I may say otherwise after a 4 am diaper change.

Here’s a picture of me trying to multi-task.

Aivy has been a lot of fun for both of us during these past two weeks. I thought that parenthood would be warm, a bit silly, and saccharine-sweet; I never expected it to be this funny! Linh is constantly laughing at Aivy and her hilarious facial expressions. She laughs so hard that I wonder if she’s going to pop her abdominal staples wide open. Aivy certainly provides a lot of comedic material. I’m particularly fond of her yawns but I cannot figure out how to transfer them from the camera to the computer.

The other night, we were watching a BBC documentary about deep-sea fish and I decided to pretend I was an anglerfish with Aivy. She was spellbound.

But her attention these days is really most keenly focused upon Mommy’s nipples or anything that resembles them. So I was messing around with Aivy and decided to see if she would latch onto things that were not exactly nipples.

So here we are playing a variation on the “I’ve Got Your Nose” game. I suppose turnabout is fair play.
