Since Calvin is now walking and talking up a storm, he's been his sister's shadow for over a year now.
Some days this is good, some days this is bad.
Here is the Tang family joining us for a traditional American Thankgiving feast
What's fun about this meal is that even the foods that I would consider bland are real treats to my inlaws. My garlic mashed potatoes are hugely popular with the Tang family.
But the post-Thanksgiving food coma is an international phenomenon.
Now for a brief interlude showing interaction with Uncle Rick.Uncle Rick has been visiting almost every week since this summer and it's been really fun to see how different his relationship is with our kids than the relationships they have with other adults. He's not like a parent or a friend or a babysitter to them. It's hard to describe, but it is wonderful to witness.
What is going on here is that the kids are trying to shake down Uncle Rick for some money for imaginary snow cones they made for him.
Uncle Rick was insistent that he shouldn't have to pay real money for imaginary snow cones.
Aivy wasn't taking this crap from a customer.
