Halloween Hijinx and Other Adventures

Though it was sad that I couldn't participate in this year's pumpkin carving party since I was working out of town, Linh and the kids did a great job.

Here they are tracing their designs...

...and posing with the pre-carved pumpkin. We didn't eat it. We should have. Maybe next year.

Here are the trick or treaters in action in the evening. These shots are kinda out of sequence.

Trick or treating Part One: The Daytime Looting of the Cove

This is Shaun the Sheep and her sidekick Timmy. If you've never seen the show, it's http://www.shaunthesheep.com/. It's their favorite cartoon. Actually, Mr. Bean is their favorite cartoon, but I wasn't going to dress either of my kids as middle-aged British comedian Rowan Atkinson. Don't think that would have worked.

You can almost see the sugar coursing through their veins.

More daytime looting. The incredibly cute dinosaur/dragon is Evelyn. The cowboy is Sam.

Sam is the new sheriff in town. He's going to clean up northern Travis County. The Pflugervillians won't know what hit them.

Just a cute picture of Timmy the Sheep.

Here are the lil' rascals: Aivy, Calvin, Sam, and Evelyn.

Sparky, Evy, and Calvin. Yes, he still sucks his thumb (sigh).

"Heeeeeere's EVY!"

And here's another installment of our backyard wildlife series.

We caught a Texas Spiny Lizard. He was huge.

Bug, lizard, and frog catching is usually Calvin's department, but Aivy sometimes assists. The look on her face and her body language is priceless.

It was really, really hard to get them all to pose for a good picture.
I like this video of the trick or treaters in action instead.
