A Good Time to Learn a Trade

Ready for this week's edition of the Aivy and Calvin Show?

It's Aivy.

And Calvin.

After the events of the past two weeks, I'm really glad that my children are attempting to learn a lucrative trade.

First, I turn 36. Then we learn that Linh's timing belt it going to cost us about $700. Then I get a speeding ticket. Now those three things along are enough to ruin your week. But wait, there's more....

The garage door opener spring breaks causing a hole in our garage ceiling and a great deal of annoyance.

The hot water heater goes kaput.

And the lawn mower goes belly-up.

Now since all this translates into a good deal of money and the economy is what it is, the kids decided that they would try to pitch in.

That's right, folks, I've signed our half-Vietnamese kids up to do nails!

Child-labor laws be damned, we need the dough!
