Of Parties and Frogs

Aivy and her gang of thugs had a great time this weekend at Kyan's birthday party around the block. The rogue's gallery includes: (left to right) Macen, David, Kyan, Zane, and Aivy. Shortly after this photo was taken, the snow cone man found his wallet, hubcaps, and most of his snow cone syrup missing.

Calvin had a great time at Kyan's party, too. Keep an eye on that frog, though (foreshadowing is a mark of high literary form).

We think that Calvin looks alot like Macen and Zane did when they were younger. Other people tell us that he looks more like a combination of both of his grandfathers, Jerry and Cuong.

The kids played dress-up. Maybe not such a good idea in the Texas heat...

Calvin appreciated his sheriff's sombrero, though.

The kids had a great time singing along with at the party.

Eventually, Calvin just kicked back to enjoy the show.

Aivy got a little more involved in the festivities.

But the they came home for naps and to seek refuge from the rain.

The rain brought out some more friends for Calvin.

We made sure that Calvin didn't try to lick them.
