It's Calvin...AS HOBBES! Get it?
This wasn't his real Halloween night outfit. He just wore it to daycare on Friday. But it was pretty darn good.

Here's Aivy playing with her cat box.

Hey, Drooly.

That's quite a mug you have there.

What are you going to eat that thing? Arrrr. Go for it.

One of Calvin's heroes is Boogaloo Shrimp. Bonus points if you get the reference.

This is Calvin doing pushups. He claps his hands together midair after he does each one.

So this was our real Halloween getup. We had an ensemble performance.
Aivy as ladybug, Calvin as caterpillar, and Daddy as entomologist.

This very hungry caterpillar wore his costume for all of two minutes before we realized that it was too hot and uncomfortable for him.

The ladybug was pretty much down with her costume. She did take off her antennae headband, though.

After looting the neighborhood, we confiscated all her candy and gave it to our neighbor's kid...except for one lollypop and a small bag of Teddy Grahams.
Aivy, being the neoconservative that she is, considered this action to be socialist wealth redistribution and demanded it back from her pinko parents.

Her aggression did not stand. We forced her to share her loot with others in a variation on progressive taxation. As soon as she realized that she gained several little friends by sharing, she recognized that it was in her own interest to be generous. And the little Ayn Rand acolyte was okay with that.
Aivy and her friend Monica Garcia were horsing around on Sunday night. It was pretty great.
She got a chance to have fun with her grandparents, too.
Calvin and Aivy are really becoming fast friends. We like that.
