Aunt Yenmi's Magical Camera

Yenmi got a new camera for her 17th birthday and has been serving as a roving reporter, babysitter, historian, photographer, intern, and political gadfly during her summer in Austin. Most of the pictures this week were hers. And this one was her favorite (it reminds me of the "Kilroy Was Here" cartoons and kinda creeps me out, personally).

Here's Mommy Linh trying to squeeze Aivy like a tube of toothpaste.

I don't know how else to say it, but it looks like Aivy has been hanging out with the Rastafarian dog that we see at Rundberg and I-35.

Aivy looking a bit more "normal."

Here's a tender moment being shared by all the women living with me this summer. They tend to gang up on me, but I'm occasionally able to get Aivy to join my team against the two Tang sisters. They are quite mean, but Aivy fights dirty so we usually come out on top.

There's the Rasta Dog. We don't have a name for him yet, and I'm afraid to talk to the tramp that he hangs around with. The sweatshirt cracks me up. The dog is always wearing this outfit; I have no idea how he keeps it on. He really is the coolest vagrant on Rundberg Lane. I hope he becomes a permanent fixture.

This is how Aivy expresses displeasure lately. Let's hope it passes.

Aivy was shocked-- shocked, I tell you. She was simply shocked at the low prices and high quality that she found at Sun Harvest.

This was Aivy's first trip in a grocery cart. She had a ball, I'm told.

I tried to write a clean caption for this one, but they all contained curse words. Ah well, you can think of something appropriate...

Here Aivy was actually holding the the handle of the dragonfly kite that we took out to the beach. She looks like she was really getting into it.

Champ.
