Grandma and Grandpa Come for a Visit

Since Aivy wasn't able to visit Grandma and Grandpa Whitworth for Easter, they decided to make the trek up to Austin to see her in person. Aivy is clearly not the same little girl that they first met three months ago! Now she smiles, laughs, and does everything she can to interact and engage with her new world.

It's really a wonderful time in Aivy's development and we were so very glad to be able to share the experience with her grandparents one-on-one.

Here Aivy learns how to fly from Grandma.

And here she is clowning around with Mommy in front of the bathroom mirror.

Attention all children of the 80s: Aivy is, in fact, wearing a "Jobbers" hat. I have no idea where Mommy found it. Maybe she should have left it there.

Here Grandpa poses with Aivy in front of the bookcase for a more scholarly look.

Here she is crashed out on Daddy's chest.

And here she is again with the Jobbers hat. Maybe Mommy can find some parachute pants for her.

And here she is doing more flying lessons with Grandma.

Let's hope she doesn't get airsick.

I'm not really sure what Aivy and Grandpa are doing, but she looks pretty tough when she does it. Daddy likes that.
